  • NOMAD:
Transforms the area where it is placed and its use changes depending on the incidence and intensity of the light that falls on it. A structure which is a mixture of inflatable and TENSILE architecture that also combines transparent fibres with dull colours.  It continues to meet the basic characteristics of inflatable structures, the logistics functionality as well as introducing a cutting edge design. This structure's design was developed by GLORIA RIBERA in collaboration with the architecture studio ARQINTEGRAL for a project of the EINA school.
An inflatable tent especially for spaces that require visual communication between the interior and exterior that allows for communication between both areas. It is precisely for this reason that the structural part of the tent, the three arches, are made out of a transparent material, increasing its lightness and displacing the weight to the intermediate shade sails.
It is unquestionably one of the best examples of collaboration between an external designer and the àrea cúbica technical department.
It basically has three uses and the architectural characteristics can be viewed in the same way. Central area and/or dance floor for private parties. Tent for touring exhibitions and presentation area for new technologies. In all three cases it is intended that people enter and leave the area at ease to facilitate access to the activity and to avoid constraints in the flow of people.
    Technical data:
Size: the smallest version that can be built is 6x5 m. The most common is 12x10 m. and bigger dimensions can be considered.
Material: polyester fibres with coated with 450 gr/m2 PVC for the shade sails and composed solely of transparent 600gr/m2 PVC for the transparent tubes.
Made using: single or two needle sewing machine.

    • HANGAR:

A space designed to convey an innovative image and an ease in transporting and installing that cannot be achieved with any other type of support. The inflatable structure has become the perfect solution for event organisers.
It was the first of the inflatable structures and TENTS that we developed more than 8 years ago, but far from being obsolete, it is constantly being revived thanks to the collaboration of our clients who contribute new ideas not considered before by us.
This model of an inflatable covering has evolved in such a way that it now has countless accessories and varieties. Here are some of the modelling possibilities: it can have roll up doors in the main façade, the rear and the side, in 7x7 m. models and bigger. These doors can also be inflatable which allows them to be raised in the shape of a canopy. The canvas at the side can also incorporate simple windows, with a small transparent window and a small gridded one. The interior area can also be set up with an electric preinstallation system to connect both lights and auxiliary electrical apparatus. As with all the products, as standardised as they may seem, they can also be manufactured with specific measurements according to the precise needs of each client.
The most frequent use for this type is for touring events and promotions, as well as coverings for emergencies or for blood donation, not to mention merchandising or information points. This type of tent has allowed some of our clients to offer micro-promotions through a number of countries only needing a compact van and one person to do the job of assembler and product marketer.

    • SPIDER :

A multiway covering. The design means that the visitors may be directed to one single point, or that the surrounding is left open, 360º. The materials used have been specifically considered for a simple and modern covering, that is lightweight to facilitate its transport and resistant to use and to the elements, thus guaranteeing its longevity.
It is a very light promotion point, stable in windy conditions due to its aerodynamic design and especially easy to assemble. These characteristics have meant that some àrea cúbica Spiders have withstood extreme conditions: From installations on ski slopes at an altitude of 2,500 m, serving as information points, to desert areas used for the control and supply in sporting events.
To get an idea of how easy it is to transport and assemble one, we have provided you with the following information: the 6.5 m. Spider weighs around 35 kg including the motor, and fits perfectly into the boot of any small vehicle. Assembly, from unpacking to having the inflatable fully up straight does not take longer than 10 minutes, when carried out by one person who has no previous knowledge of INFLATABLES.
The Spider also offers many transformation possibilities.  It can consist of 5 walls that are either fixed, detachable, detachable with a half door or with no walls. It is also possible to add lighting and electrical pre-installation.
The standard size comes prepared with a rope kit to anchor it, and with zips in the feet to add ballasts when the earth or circumstances do not allow it to be mechanically fixed in place.
As regards decoration, logos can be printed straight onto the material, and areas can also be prepared for fixing removable banners.
Technical data:
Size: the smallest version that can be built is 4x4 m. The most common is 6,5x6,5 m. and ones of 8x8 m. and 10x10 m. have also been built.
Material: polyester fibres coated with 160 gr/m2 polyurethane..
Made using: single or two needle sewing machine.

    • COMBI :

It establishes a point of sale, and information and promotion points. It is unquestionably ideal for individual and pared promotions. It can be fully assembled by one person in less than 5 minutes. It was initially created for an Actimel promotion, carried out every Sunday one winter, simultaneously on fifteen ski slopes all over Spain. Obviously it had to be transported in a back pack and had to weigh very little (18kg.), as it was installed in the highest points on the ski slopes. In addition to this it had to be assembled by one person who wasn't trained specifically in that area.
The personal touch to the inflatable structure using logos is done with paint especially made to withstand conditions of abrasion and exposure to the toughest elements necessary for exterior event logistics.

    • PLANETARIUM:

Designed specifically for spherical projections as the basis and hub in touring situations. The curvature of the spherical dome, the completely opaque material, the comfortable entrance for visitors and the blocking of exterior light, together with the extraordinary ease at which it can be assembled, dismantled and transported are its most important characteristics. The planetariums have developed over time in many respects due to suggestions from our clients. Together with our collaborators we have done research into what is the most appropriate material to use in order to guarantee opacity, even when outside in the middle of the day, combining this information with the fact that the raw materials need to be sufficiently light, so that one person can assemble, dismantle and transport it alone. This inflatable should be able to receive thousands of people during its life span, many of whom would be young people, meaning that as well as the above mentioned characteristics, the components must also have a very high resistance. Some of our planetariums have had more than 40,000 students pass through them over  a period of 5 years, and still continue receiving people.
The material used for these coverings means that more than one exterior decoration can be used on its entire surface.

    • IGLOO:

This is one of the latest inflatable coverings. The research in to this kind of tent began in 2002 and by the following year our technical department had already developed the technology that would be applied in our first inflatable igloos. Shortly after, during the same year, the production of the 4 and 6 m. diameter units began and from these first units the product has continued to develop, reaching the scale of the large units currently available.
We call them new generation because, unlike the other coverings (Spider, Hangar and Nomad), they allow for much bigger dimensions, they notably improve stability in windy conditions and they are apt for many other uses, which were unattainable before.
The research into these inflatable coverings has been and continues to be a very thorough process. We began by selecting the most appropriate materials, keeping in mind lightness, resistance and durability. The most ideal motors for this type were then studied and then a calculation system was developed for inflatable coverings, that had never been done before and that set the standards for the most suitable manufacture and for strengthening the areas that need most reinforcement.
The structure of this type of igloo is based on a continuous wall formed by  a double layer of fabric which circulates the air injected by the turbines.
The wall should be a specific width, established by the structural calculations, that vary depending on the breadth of the covering.
It is normally used in events, above all in touring ones. They can host conventions, presentations or exhibitions, which  would otherwise require much greater and more complex preparation and logistics.
As can be seen from the photos, the igloo can be connected to other igloos of the same, bigger or smaller size and for complexes through connecting tunnels. The latest developments in this type of tent allow for the units' position to be changed in any way, thanks to the different ways of joining, researched for this purpose.

    • MULTITUBULAR TUNNEL:

This had the same technical and conceptual origin of the inflatable igloos and has been technically developed alongside it. The basic difference between this type and the inflatable igloos is in their shape. The tunnels make the best use out of the interior space and are the easiest to set up in smaller spaces At the same time, due to the materials reverberation effect per metre squared of the surface, there is greater saving with this type than with the igloos, although the latter obviously is more aesthetically appreciated.
Another big advantage of the tunnel is that it can be set up, and then later enlarged lengthways as much as is required which means that an investment into these TENTS can be made in phases, until reaching the desired size. This modular system, whilst making it easier to purchase, also means that the necessary surface for each different type of event can be achieved, depending of the expected turnout or the space available for assembling it.
These TENTS are perfectly designed for air-conditioning systems and have been developed together with  air-conditioning suppliers, that optimise its consumption more so than traditional metal structure TENTS
Another advantage of these TENTS which must be highlighted is that both the interior and exterior can be printed on, offering excellent attention grabbing results. A good example of this is a tent in the shape of a can, that was recently created.
The technological development of this type of tent also allows for big transparent windows to be inserted in the walls, that visually connect the interior and exterior whist at the same time retaining heat and sound.

  • ORGANIC:

These are the most sophisticated and architectural inflatable TENTS. They are called Organic because this is the inflatable that naturally adapts to the marketing needs of the client.   It is the culmination of the development of the two other types from this family, the tunnels and igloos. The constructive base is the same, but on a design and pattern level it is superior. It stands out hugely for the infinite possibilities it presents and at the same time it requires a technical capacity to develop them, something which is not available to all manufacturers. This type of tent can be perfectly adapted to the character of the brand on exhibition, still maintaining the same features of the other INFLATABLES. They can be personalised with design, by the colour of the material, and by printing the logos straight onto the surface. In order to obtain satisfactory results with this type of tent, close collaboration is needed between our design department and the event organisers.  The briefs, the locations, and the image or the idea to be put across should all be studied in depth. In this collaboration process there are many proposals and modifications of these proposals in order to agree upon a design that meets the objectives and technically ties up all the loose ends. It is essential to prepare the technical and human resources for working in this kind of collaboration in order to achieve the expected results. The ability to create complex pattern designs should at no time restrict the design creativity which can only be attained using 3D programs especially designed for this purpose. What is really interesting about these TENTS is that they have so many serious possibilities that we are probably only just seeing the beginning of what is to come later. Another equally important aspect behind the development of a tent of this kind is the calculation project.  Through a sophisticated fluid dynamic software program for calculation we can create a virtual model that details the wind pressure and the force that falls on every point of the tent, being able to deal with the points that require the most reinforcement using the most suitable measures. This project is also necessary to legalise each location.
